A live sketch of the A3 sedan

Audi Debuts App-filled Small Car Designed For America

Penned chiefly by Dany Garand, the new Audi A3 sedan has a deceptively simple appearance that manages to take the 3-box concept of the sedan and look like neither a box nor a blob.  With so many cars heading in the egg/almond direction design-wise, it’s nice to see Audi sticking to what it does best and making a simple, refined-looking automobile.

Under the metal, the A3 sedan benefits from Audi’s corporate 2 liter TFSI turbo engine and sequential transmission, giving it at least as much “go” as “show.”

The A3 also becomes the first mass-market car to have an integrated 4G hotspot, thanks to the latest generation of Audi’s MMI connectivity suite, powered by Qualcomm.
